Tenterfield Showgrounds

Nestled along the picturesque Tenterfield Creek, the Tenterfield Showgrounds offer a serene camping experience with easy access to local amenities, including supermarkets, cafes, and the Visitor Information Centre. The grounds feature a historic J.H. Reid Pavilion, a large shearing complex, and a grandstand with a renovated kitchen. These facilities are available for hire for private and public events, community organizations, and schools. The showgrounds also provide camping options for travelers, with amenities such as hot showers, water access, and a pet-friendly environment. A dump point is available for campground guests and the general public, with donations supporting the Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service. Disabled parking is situated near the caretakers' house, with transportation provided to the main area for those with mobility needs. The grounds are open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with camping bookings managed through the caretakers' cottage at 62 Miles Street or by calling 0499 885 386.
