Established in 1873, Tenterfield Cemetery is a serene site that reflects the region's rich history. It features monumental areas divided into denominational sections, a modern lawn section, and four columbaria. Notably, the cemetery includes unmarked burial sites of approximately 20 Chinese individuals from the 1850s. Within its grounds lies the Tenterfield War Cemetery, a Commonwealth War Graves Commission site, commemorating eight service personnel from World War II and honoring 200 soldiers from Tenterfield who died in World War I.
