Talgai Homestead, built in 1868 for George and Ellen Clark, is a significant example of early Queensland pastoral architecture. Designed by architect Richard George Suter, the sandstone homestead features a U-shaped layout with a central courtyard, surrounded by verandahs supported by slender cast iron columns. The property includes a clay tennis court, an avenue of Bunya Pines, and the remains of a sandstone slaughterhouse. Located approximately 6 km west of Allora, it offers picturesque views across the valley. The homestead is now a private residence.
