Located at 19 Aplin Road, Thursday Island, TAFE Queensland's campus offers a diverse range of programs tailored to the local community. Students can pursue studies in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care, health support, marine, business, hospitality, first aid, sport and recreation, accounting, early childhood education and care, and leadership and management. The campus boasts facilities such as an engineering workshop, maritime training centre, woodworking workshop, cultural arts studio, commercial kitchen, dining room, computer lab, conference boardroom, and an undercover amphitheatre. Notably, the Ceferino (Nino) Sabatino Memorial Art Studio honors the creative legacy of former student and teacher Nino, known for his turtle creations made from recycled materials. In July 2024, construction began on a $3.5 million upgrade to establish a state-of-the-art health training space, including a flexible clinical ward and medication room, aiming to support over 350 students by 2026-27. The campus operates Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and offers free on-site parking for students.
