Tablelands Premier Meats, located at 433 Pride of Oak Rd, Canowindra NSW 2804, is a fully licensed on-farm abattoir and meat processor. Established in 2012, it specializes in processing a variety of livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. The facility emphasizes organic practices, utilizing UV water treatment to ensure chemical-free meat products. In addition to processing their own naturally raised animals, they offer service kills for other growers without minimum kill numbers. The abattoir employs nine local staff members and provides traineeships and career development opportunities. They also host school tours and support scientific research projects. A butcher shop in Orange offers a selection of products, with deliveries to Sydney and Canberra for restaurants. In December 2024, the abattoir suspended operations after failing to find a buyer.
