Swanport Bridge

Spanning the Murray River, Swanport Bridge is a vital link on Highway 1, connecting Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend. Opened in 1979, this 1-kilometer prestressed concrete bridge facilitates significant traffic flow, including B-double trucks. The bridge features two lanes, one for each direction, with a speed limit of 80 km/h. Adjacent to the bridge, the Swanport Wetlands offer a serene environment for birdwatching and leisurely walks. The area is accessible via the Frank Jackman Memorial Lookout, providing picturesque views of the Lower Murray landscape.
