Established in 1923, Suburban Bowls Club is Townsville's second-oldest club, offering a welcoming environment for lawn bowls enthusiasts. The club features an all-weather, undercover synthetic green, ensuring playability regardless of weather conditions. Regular events include Open Fours & Triples on Tuesdays at 1 pm, Barefoot Bowls on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, Open Fours on Thursdays at 1 pm, and Open Pairs on Saturdays at 1 pm. The club also provides free coaching sessions and operates a well-stocked bowls shop open Monday to Friday. Additionally, an upstairs function room with a dance floor is available for hire, with current availability on Thursday evenings.
