Stoodley Forest Walk and Arboretum offers a serene one-hour loop through a historic arboretum established by Tasmania's early forestry industry. The trail partially follows the former Railton-Roland train line, which ceased operations in 1957 and had a station at Stoodley. The area also hosts one of the region's first sawmills, built in 1854 on nearby Red Water Creek. A notable feature is the original wooden water trough from the early 1900s, once a regular stop for horses, riders, and traction engines. Access is via the B14, approximately 5.5 km south of Railton or 5 km east of Sheffield.
