Stoodley Forest Arboretum, located near Sheffield, Tasmania, offers a tranquil one-hour loop walk through a historic arboretum established by the early forestry industry. The trail features a diverse collection of trees, including towering radiata pines, Tasmanian blue gums, and coastal redwoods. Along the path, visitors can explore remnants of the old Railton-Roland train line, which ceased operations in 1957, and discover Dick Lowe’s Bridge, a bluestone archway built in 1877. The walk also passes by a wooden water trough from the early 1900s, once a regular stop for horses and traction engines. Access is via the B14, approximately 5 km east of Sheffield.
