Nestled in Tasmania's Tamar Valley, Stoney Rise Wine Company is a family-run winery established by Joe and Lou Holyman in 2004. The 7.35-hectare vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, and Trousseau, is situated less than a kilometer from the Tamar River. The on-site cellar door, designed by local architect studio Cumulus, offers tastings of estate-grown wines and an extensive selection of Australian and imported wines. Visitors can enjoy small plates, including a curated cheese selection, in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the picturesque river. Open Thursday to Monday, 10 am to 5 pm, bookings are recommended.
