Located approximately 35 km west of Ballarat in Victoria's central highlands, Stockyard Hill Wind Farm is Australia's largest wind farm, featuring 149 turbines with a total capacity of 528 MW. The facility commenced construction in early 2018 and began exporting energy in July 2021, achieving full commissioning in September 2022. It generates up to 511 MW of clean, renewable energy, powering approximately 425,000 Victorian homes annually and offsetting about 2 million tonnes of CO₂ each year. The wind farm is owned by Palisade and Aware Super (49%), Nebras Power (49%), and Goldwind (2%), and is managed by Palisade Integrated Management Services.
