Established in 1880 along the Hamley Bridge to Balaklava railway line, it was named after the stockyards once used by C.B. Fisher. The area includes the former government town of Aliceburgh, which ceased to exist in 1897. Today, Stockyard Creek is characterized by its agricultural landscape and historical significance, offering a glimpse into the region's past.
