Nestled along Christmas Creek beneath the Darlington Range, Stinson Park Camping offers a serene retreat for families and seasoned hikers alike. The campground features 20 grassed and shaded sites equipped with modern amenities, including flushing toilets and electric barbecues. Its proximity to the creek provides ample opportunities for swimming and relaxation. The caretaker visits most afternoons to collect fees and offer fresh firewood for sale. The area holds historical significance as the base for Bernard O'Reilly's 1937 rescue mission following the Stinson airliner crash. Please note, pets are not permitted, and visitors are advised to bring their own drinking water.
