STARTTS, the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors, is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation established in 1988. Located at 152–168 The Horsley Drive, Carramar NSW 2163, it offers culturally relevant psychological treatment, support, and community interventions to help individuals and communities heal from the effects of torture and refugee trauma. Services include face-to-face and telehealth counselling, group activities, psychiatric assessment, physiotherapy, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, pain management, exercise groups, and activities for young people. STARTTS also provides referral and case management, community liaison, consultation, community development projects, and training for mainstream service providers. Operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, the organisation is committed to delivering culturally appropriate services, promoting healing, and facilitating integration within the community.
