St. Barnabas’ Anglican Church, known as "Barneys," is a vibrant community located at 57-61 Mountain Street, Ultimo, NSW 2007. Established in 1858, the church was rebuilt in 2012 after a fire destroyed the original building in 2006. Designed by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorpe, the modernist structure features a distinctive swooping roof and incorporates elements from the original church, including bricks and gates. The congregation is diverse, with a significant number of international students from nearby universities. Services are held on Sundays at 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM. The church also offers community programs and facilities, including a creche and social center.
