The Chapter Hall, constructed between 1843 and 1845, is the oldest building in the St Mary's Cathedral precinct. Designed by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin in the Gothic Revival style, it was initially used as a Catholic school before being converted into a chapter hall in 1910. The hall is situated along St Mary's Road, adjacent to St Mary's Cathedral, and is the oldest surviving Catholic school building in Australia.
