
Located within the St Helens Visitor Information Centre, the St Helens History Room showcases over 1,000 artifacts that chronicle the region's rich past. Exhibits cover diverse themes, including Indigenous heritage, whaling, tin mining, and maritime history. A highlight is the 'Chinese Experience' display, offering insights into the area's Chinese mining heritage. Visitors can also explore the Tin Dragon sculpture outside, guiding them to the museum. The museum is open daily, with varying hours: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and weekends from 9 am to 3:30 pm. It is situated at 61 Cecilia Street, behind the St Helens Library and opposite the Post Office.
