Perched atop Battery Point's highest point, St George's Anglican Church is a historic sandstone landmark in Hobart, Tasmania. Designed by John Lee Archer in 1838, the church features a Greek Revival bell tower and Doric portico added by James Blackburn in 1847 and 1888, respectively. The tower once guided sailors navigating the Derwent River. Today, it serves as an active place of worship, offering traditional and vibrant services, including Holy Communion and All Age Worship. The church also hosts community events, Bible studies, and lectures, welcoming all visitors.
