Nestled in Broome's historic Old Broome, the SSJG Heritage Centre offers a unique window into the Kimberley's social history. Housed in the 1926 Old Convent, a rare example of Japanese 'Shinkabe' architecture, the centre features the Relationships Exhibition, the Archive & Research Centre, the Garden of Healing, and Pomegranate House. Visitors can explore a 70,000-strong photographic collection, engage with captivating archival narratives, and enjoy tranquil garden-rooms. Open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 noon, and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon, the centre provides a welcoming space for all.
