Smoky Bay lookout

Perched within Laura Bay Conservation Park, the Smoky Bay Lookout offers panoramic views of the sheltered bay, tidal samphire flats, and mangroves. This area serves as a vital feeding ground for migratory seabirds. The headland features a historic landing site from 1911, once bustling with activity as grain was loaded onto ketches. Visitors can explore the park's diverse coastal vegetation, including coastal mallee scrub and mangrove flats, and enjoy bushwalking and camping opportunities. The campground accommodates tents, camper trailers, and caravans, with unallocated sites for up to three vehicles. Camping fees apply.
