Slaty Creek Campground 1, nestled along Petticoat Link Track in Cabbage Tree, VIC 3889, offers a serene bush camping experience within the Creswick Regional Park. This campground features a picnic area with a gazebo, non-flush toilets, and multiple wood-fired barbecues and picnic tables. Camping is free, with no booking required, and is permitted on both sides of Petticoat Link Track, alongside Slaty Creek. The area is ideal for bushwalking, birdwatching, and gold prospecting, with the creek providing opportunities for gold panning. Please note that Slaty Creek is a shallow, seasonal creek that may dry up during summer months.
