Nestled 11 kilometers east of Nundle, past the picturesque village of Hanging Rock, Sheba Dams Reserve offers a serene bush camping experience at an altitude of 1,150 meters. Established in 1888 to support gold mining, the area now features unpowered campsites, a timber jetty, picnic tables, and a 1.2-kilometer walking track around the larger dam. Visitors can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout, kayaking, swimming, and fossicking for zircons and sapphires. The reserve is abundant with native wildlife, including wallabies and pademelons, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts.
