Serendipity: the choir is a vibrant community ensemble based in Bundanoon, NSW, dedicated to delivering enjoyable and diverse musical performances. Founded in 2008, the choir comprises approximately thirty voices, with members hailing from Bundanoon and surrounding areas. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Soldiers' Memorial Hall, a venue renowned for its excellent acoustics and Art Deco architecture. The choir's repertoire spans from medieval to contemporary works, encompassing classical, folk, popular, jazz, madrigal, and sacred styles. Notably, Serendipity: the choir has commissioned pieces from local composers, enriching the regional cultural landscape. Their concerts, such as "Flicks & Footlights," showcase a variety of songs from stage and screen, reflecting the ensemble's commitment to engaging and entertaining performances. For those interested in joining, the choir offers a welcoming environment, with new singers invited to participate as 'potential' choristers, with their position determined after several weeks of rehearsal. This inclusive approach fosters a closely knit group where each member receives support and encouragement, contributing to a strong sense of ownership and community within the choir.
