Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary, spanning 64,969 hectares in New South Wales, is a haven for threatened species. Established in 2002, it features old-growth mallee woodlands and red sand dunes. The sanctuary is home to 16 threatened species, including the Greater Bilby, Numbat, and Bridled Nailtail Wallaby. AWC's 8,000-hectare feral predator-free area has enabled the reintroduction of these species. The sanctuary also supports over 170 bird species and 50 reptiles. AWC's land management protects a wealth of other inland biodiversity, such as a diverse population of small mammals, including threatened species such as the Southern Ningaui and Bolam’s Mouse.
