Located at 1/44 Boronia Street in Sawtell, the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church serves the communities of Sawtell, Toormina, Boambee, Bonville, and Crossmaglen. Established on July 1, 1983, the parish has grown to include a primary school, a retirement village, and a residential care facility. The church building, originally constructed in 1951, underwent significant restoration in 2018/19, adding a bell tower and facilities for social functions. The bell tower chimes daily at midday and before the Vigil Mass each Saturday evening, as well as during funerals and weddings.
