Perched on the Sandringham foreshore, the Band Rotunda is a historic landmark offering panoramic coastal views. Constructed in 1926 by city engineer W.T. Sunderland and funded by Dr. Thomas Garnet Leary, the rotunda was designed to host band recitals, becoming a popular Sunday afternoon gathering spot. Its elevated position, accessible via 15 stairs, provides a unique vantage point over the bay. The rotunda has been restored multiple times to preserve its structural integrity. Today, it serves as a picturesque backdrop for weddings, photography, and leisurely visits.
