Established in 1912, Sandgate Yacht Club is the oldest boating club in Sandgate and one of Queensland's oldest sailing clubs. Located at 69 Sinbad Street, Shorncliffe, the club offers a welcoming environment for sailors of all levels. Regular races occur every second Sunday during the season, featuring classes such as Flying Fifteens and 505s, with courses set in Bramble Bay near the mouth of Cabbage Tree Creek. The club also provides sail training, coaching, and events, fostering sailing skills and seamanship among its members.
