
Saltwater National Park, located just east of Taree, is a coastal reserve surrounded by rainforest, offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features popular surfing spots like Saltwater Beach and Wallabi Beach, as well as opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. The well-equipped Saltwater picnic area provides a perfect spot to relax between swims. Visitors can also paddle canoes or kayaks along Khappinghat Creek, explore walking tracks, and enjoy whale watching from August through November. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins, sea eagles, and brush turkeys.
