Established in 1900, St Joseph's Catholic Church in Iona is a historic place of worship in the Shire of Cardinia. The original wooden structure, accommodating 350 people, was replaced in 1940 with the current brick building featuring Romanesque Revival architecture and an 80-foot tower. The church is part of the Iona-Maryknoll Parish, which also includes Holy Family Church in Maryknoll and St James Church in Nar Nar Goon. Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 11:00 am.
