Completed in 1900, the Rutherglen Big Wine Bottle was originally a water tower holding 72,000 gallons to supply the town's water. In 1969, a mesh top was added, funded by the Rutherglen Wine Festival, transforming it into a giant wine bottle. Standing 36 meters tall, it offers panoramic views of Mount Buffalo and the Chiltern Ironbark Forest. The site is ideal for picnics, walking, and cycling, making it a popular spot for both relaxation and recreation.
