Russ Cottage, constructed between 1868 and 1870 by Titus Russ, is a significant example of a 19th-century yeoman's residence in Port Denison. Built from local limestone, the cottage features a kitchen floor made from crushed ant hills, providing a unique glimpse into early rural life. Purchased by the Shire of Irwin in 1969, it was restored by the Irwin District Historical Society and now serves as a museum, offering self-guided tours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a gold coin donation.
