The Round Mountain Hut walking track, located in the Khancoban area of Kosciuszko National Park, offers a 4 km return journey through the Jagungal Wilderness Area. This Grade 5 track, suitable for experienced bushwalkers, features a very steep gradient and occasional steps, with a rough path and many obstacles. The trail is marked by a signposted trackhead off Swampy Plains Road. Parking is available in a large carpark adjacent to Cabramurra Road at the trackhead. Please note that the hut was destroyed in the 2019/20 bushfires; however, the walking track remains open.
