Round Mountain Hut & Camping Area

Nestled in the heart of Kosciuszko National Park's Jagungal Wilderness, Round Mountain Hut & Camping Area offers a serene retreat for nature enthusiasts. Accessible via the Round Mountain trailhead on Tooma Road, the area provides a 4 km return walking track through subalpine habitats, leading to the historic Round Mountain Hut. While the original hut was destroyed in the 2019/20 bushfires, the site remains a popular camping spot, offering picturesque views of the Tumut River and Mount Jagungal. The area is also suitable for mountain biking, with cycling permitted along designated trails.
