Rocky Point

Rocky Point Retreat is a family-owned campground situated on the southern bank of Baffle Creek at Winfield, approximately 63 kilometers north of Bundaberg. The 16-acre site offers 42 level, grassed campsites, including 21 waterfront sites and 7 powered sites, all pet-friendly. Each campsite features access to clean bore water taps and a fire pit. On-site amenities include private ensuite facilities, mini ensuites, and portaloos available for hire. The campground provides a 40-meter non-camping buffer zone along the river, allowing all campers to enjoy the waterfront views. A concrete boat ramp adjacent to the campground offers easy access to the pristine estuary at all tides. The area is renowned for its excellent fishing opportunities, with species such as Mangrove Jack, Flathead, Whiting, Bream, Moses Perch, Grunter, Estuary Cod, Trevally, Barramundi, mud crabs, and river prawns. Additional activities include kayaking, canoeing, sailing, and water-skiing. The campground is accessible via a two-lane bitumen-sealed road, with check-in from 10:30 am and check-out by 10:00 am or as late as 4:00 pm if the site is not required for that day. Please note that all campers and vehicles must be self-sufficient, as there are no public or shared amenities; however, private portable toilets and ensuites are available for hire by prior arrangement.
