Rocky Crossing

Embark on the 16 km return Rocky Crossing walk in Barrington Tops National Park, a Grade 4 track that typically takes 6 to 8 hours to complete. Starting from Williams River picnic area, the trail meanders through a dense forest of sassafras, red cedar, and giant stinging trees, offering opportunities to spot lyrebirds and eastern whipbirds. The path descends to Rocky Crossing, featuring mudstone terraces where eastern water dragons are often seen. Picnic facilities are available at Williams River and Lagoon Pinch picnic areas.
