Constructed in 1943, it served as an entertainment hub for troops stationed on the Atherton Tablelands, hosting films, concerts, and dances. After the war, the building was repurposed as a family home and cane factory before falling into disrepair. In 2017-18, the Rotary Club of Atherton, with community support, restored the Igloo, preserving its unique character. Today, it offers a distinctive setting for events, allowing guests to connect with its storied past while creating new memories.
