Historically, Rewan was home to the Rewan Police Horse Breeding Station, established in 1909, which played a significant role in breeding horses for the Queensland Police Force until its closure in 1934. Today, the locality has a small population and offers a tranquil environment amidst Queensland's rugged landscapes.
