Reed Lookout Hanggliding Takeoff

Reed's Lookout Paraglider Launch, situated in Mount Buffalo National Park near Bright, Victoria, offers an exhilarating takeoff point for experienced paragliders. The launch area features large granite boulders with a surface slope of approximately 35-40 degrees, providing a non-slip surface ideal for early morning flights. Access involves a 15-minute walk from the Crystal Brook or Cricket Oval car parks, following the Big Walk trail. Landing zones include the Burrs Blue Zone below launch and the Porepunkah airfield to the north and east. Due to the site's steep terrain and potential eagle interactions, prior consultation with the North East Victoria Hang Gliding Club is recommended.
