Hmas Cerberus, VIC

Located at HMAS Cerberus in Crib Point, Victoria, the Royal Australian Navy Recruit School serves as the primary training establishment for all full-time and reserve general entry sailors. The 11-week course equips recruits with essential skills and knowledge for basic naval duties and prepares them for specialized roles. Training includes teamwork exercises, uniform maintenance, drill and discipline, first aid, survival at sea, basic ship maintenance, firearm proficiency, ship and sea combat survivability, physical fitness, and basic seamanship. A two-and-a-half-day sea familiarization course is also part of the program.
