Ravenswood Mansion, constructed in 1891 for financier Robert William Kennedy, is a distinguished example of Renaissance Revival architecture in Ivanhoe East. The two-storey residence features elaborate stucco decorations, including festoons, cornices, balustrades, and parapets. A two-storey arcade with cast iron Corinthian columns adorns the front elevation, complemented by a decorative Corinthian entrance porch. The ballroom, added in 1895, boasts arched fanlights and etched glass windows. Set on four acres, the mansion was later converted into a nursing home and has undergone restoration since the 1980s.
