Ramco, a charming town in South Australia's Riverland region, lies 170 kilometres northeast of Adelaide, along the southern bank of the Murray River. Established in 1940, it features a post office, Lutheran church, town hall, and Ramco Primary School. The name "Ramco" originates from the Aboriginal word "Bogorampko," referring to a mythical superior tribe. The town is adjacent to the Ramco Lagoon and near the Ramco Point Conservation Park in Sunlands. Ramco is part of the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, within the federal division of Barker and the state electoral district of Chaffey.
