Built in 1887 from locally made bricks, the Quirindi Historical Cottage and Museum showcases the region's rich heritage. Its extensive collections, maintained by dedicated volunteers, include the McLennan-Phillips Aboriginal Collection, Quirindi Cottage Hospital theatre and medical display, H.R. Carter Radio Room, Costume Room, military displays, and early 20th-century kitchenware. Special exhibitions align with community events, such as wool displays for prime stock day and "1901" themes for the centenary of federation. Additional displays are featured each September during History Week and for the Quirindi Show. The museum offers wheelchair access, a meeting room, and facilities for tea making. Admission is $3 for adults and 50 cents for children. Operating hours are 10 am to 4 pm on Fridays, with other times available by arrangement.
