The Queens Head Wilcannia, established in 1877, is a heritage-listed hotel constructed from local sandstone and brick. It stands as the most original and intact of the thirteen pubs from Wilcannia's heyday during the paddle steamer era. Since 2016, the building has been revitalized to serve as a private residence, a community art gallery, and a four-room bed and breakfast. The accommodation features three private bedrooms, a shared TV room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a double shower. The gallery operates during business hours from Tuesday to Saturday, showcasing local art and providing a space for community engagement. The property is situated opposite Baker Park, offering guests access to the Darling River and local amenities. Please note that accommodation is temporarily paused from June to September 2025.
