Queen Square

Queen Square, situated at the intersection of George, Henry, Robert, and William Streets in Moonta, is a vibrant community reserve. The area features expansive lawns shaded by mature Morton Bay fig trees, providing ample space for relaxation and recreation. Amenities include a heritage water fountain, rotunda, and a pair of wombat statues commemorating the role wombats played in the area's copper discovery. The reserve also houses a statue of Air Marshal Sir Richard Williams, founder of the RAAF. Public toilets are conveniently located near the picnic area. Queen Square hosts various community events throughout the year, making it a central hub for locals and visitors alike.
