Established in 1860, Queen's Park is one of Australia's earliest botanic gardens, covering 12.7 acres in the heart of Maryborough. The park features a fernery, waterfall, lily pond, and a lace-trimmed band rotunda built in 1890. On the last Sunday of each month, the Model Engineers and Live Steamers Association operate miniature steam engines, and the Excelsior City Brass Band performs under the historic band rotunda. The park also offers electric BBQs, picnic shelters, a playground, and seating areas, making it a popular spot for relaxation and community events.
