Port Milang Historic Railway Museum

Nestled on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, the Port Milang Historic Railway Museum offers a captivating journey into South Australia's railway heritage. Housed in the restored Milang railway station, the museum showcases a collection of historic locomotives, carriages, and interactive exhibits that narrate the story of the region's rail history. Visitors can operate a state-of-the-art driving simulator in the diesel locomotive cab, providing a hands-on experience. The museum also features the South Australian Light Railway Centre, highlighting the diverse light railways that once crisscrossed the state. Open on weekends from 12 pm to 4 pm, entry is free, with donations welcomed.
