Held annually over the Victorian Labour Day long weekend in March, the Port Fairy Folk Festival transforms the historic seaside town into a vibrant hub of music, culture, and community. Since its inception in 1977, the festival has grown into one of Australia's largest and most cherished events, featuring a multi-venue main arena, free entertainment throughout the township, exhibitions, community markets, interactive workshops, forums, themed concerts, showcases, theatre, film, a writers' program, roving performances, handmade crafts, and a variety of food stalls. The 2025 festival, held from March 7 to 10, showcased a diverse lineup of international and local artists, including Todd Rundgren, Vika & Linda, and Troy Cassar-Daley. The picturesque setting of Port Fairy provides an idyllic backdrop for this four-day celebration of music, community, and culture.
