Port Arthur

Port Arthur is a tranquil locality on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula, approximately 105 kilometers northwest of Adelaide and 9 kilometers north of Port Wakefield. Established in 1999, it honors a historic name used from 1861 to 1863 as a minor port facilitating passenger movement between Port Adelaide and towns like Moonta and Wallaroo. Today, Port Arthur offers a serene coastal environment, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration. The area is part of the Yorke Peninsula Council and lies within the federal Division of Grey and the state electoral district of Narungga.
