Nestled in Nymboi-Binderay National Park, Platypus Flat campground offers 18 unpowered sites along the Nymboida River. The campground provides picnic tables, wood barbecues, and composting toilets. Access requires a 4WD vehicle, as the roads are unsealed and can become boggy after rain. The area is ideal for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife spotting, with opportunities to see platypuses, goannas, and various bird species. Please note, there is no mobile phone service, and visitors should bring their own drinking water and take all rubbish with them.
