Pioneer Cottage, built around 1882, is one of Buderim's oldest surviving residences, offering a glimpse into late 19th-century life. Constructed by John Kerle Burnett and his wife Ann, the cottage showcases local timbers like white beech, red cedar, and tallowwood. The four-roomed home, later expanded with two attic bedrooms, reflects the family's growth. Today, it serves as a house museum and the headquarters of the Buderim Historical Society, preserving artifacts and photographs that narrate the area's rich history. The surrounding garden, established in 2001, features traditional cottage plants and commemorative plantings.
